found dead in Chechnya on Tuesday, 11 August, alongside her husband (Alik Djibralov). The pair had been abducted from the office of their NGO on Monday afternoon. Their bullet ridden bodies were stuffed in the boot of a car in Chernorechye, Grozny.
Save the Generation works with marginalized children to provide them with alternatives to joining local armed groups.
This is the second murder of prominant NGO workers in Chechnya in less than a month.
Natalia Estemirova of
Memorial Human Rights Center was murdered by unidentified gunmen on 15 July.

Security IncidentOn 15 July 2009, Ms. Natalia Estemirova, a social worker and human rights advocate with the Russian NGO
Memorial Human Rights Center was abducted and murdered by unknown assailants. According to a
Human Rights Watch report Ms. Estemirova was forced into a white van as she left her apartment in Grozny at 8:30 in the morning. Her body was later found on a roadside in Ingushetia with two gunshot wounds to the head.
